Red Dead Redemption 2 further delayed, will release in October

Originally scheduled for release in Autumn 2017, and then Spring 2018, Rockstar announce a further delay to Red Dead Redemption 2.

Red Dead Redemption 2 has been delayed again and will now release in October, Rockstar Games announced today.

In a statement released on their official website, the studio said the highly anticipated western sequel to 2010’s Red Dead Redemption would be delayed again, having already been delayed from Autumn 2017 to Spring 2018.

“We are excited to announce that Red Dead Redemption 2 will be released on October 26th 2018,” read the statement.

“We apologise to everyone disappointed by this delay. While we had hoped to have the game out sooner, we require a little extra time for polish.”

“We sincerely thank you for your patience and hope that when you get to play the game, you will agree the wait will have been worth it.”

Several new screenshots were also released along with the announcement, as shown below.

Red Dead Redemption 2 follows outlaw Arthur Morgan and the Van de Linde gang as they rob, fight and steal their way across the vast and rugged heart of America in order to survive.

Two trailers have already been released as well as several other screenshots from the game.
