The Last Guardian given official release window

After battling off numerous cancellation reports, Sony have officially revealed new screenshots, a trailer, and release window.

After being stuck in development hell for almost 6 years, Sony finally announced an official release window for the highly anticipated The Last Guardian.

It was revealed during E3 that the long awaited fantasy-adventure title will be released in 2016 exclusively for the PlayStation 4 with an official release date yet to be announced.

In a strange and mystical land, a young boy discovers a mysterious creature with which he forms a deep, unbreakable bond. The unlikely pair must rely on each other to journey through towering, treacherous ruins filled with unknown dangers.

Originally announced back in 2009, the game has been stuck in development at Team ICO for years.

Over the past year Sony have had to battle off numerous reports that the game had been cancelled, assuring fans that the title was still in development and if such a decision was made to cancel the title, they would say so.

Some new screenshots were also released, shown below, as well as a trailer, shown above.
