Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes will be released this December for PC, Konami announced today.

The studio announced that Ground Zeroes will release for PC via Steam on December 18th and feature “an increase in the number of simultaneous light sources, the number of models that can be displayed on-screen and increased shadow resolution”.

Set in 1975, before the events of The Phantom Pain, it follows Big Boss, a mercenary, as he infiltrates a sprawling secret prison base called Camp Omega in Cuba on a rescue mission.

Unique in-game and mission challenges and achievements for players will be available via an online global ranking system.

Ground Zeroes launched back in March for Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 3.

It has gone on to ship more than 1 million copies.
