Avengers video game "will come" says Marvel executive

An Avengers video game “will come when we have the right partner”, Marvel's Head of Games has said.

A game based on The Avengers “will come”, says a Marvel executive.

TQ Jefferson, Head of Games for Marvel Entertainment, has told IGN that a game based on the superhero franchise “will come when we have the right partner”.

“The Avengers game will come when we have the right partner, that has the right vision, that has the time to develop a strong, competitive triple-A title and wants to do it right,” he said.

“It has to hit our three pillars: Fun and engaging gameplay, true to the characters, compelling story. Without hitting those notes, we shouldn’t do it. Games, they know better. They’re not going to flock something that’s sub-par.”

Jefferson also said that the fact that a video game tie-in for the upcoming Avengers movie hasn’t been made is “indicative of Marvel’s new attitude and the approach to how we find partners and build games”.

Whilst an official Avengers video game is still to come, it was recently announced that over 20 Marvel super heroes would be included in the Disney Infinity sequel, Disney Infinity: Marvel Super Heroes.
