New PlayStation Now streaming service announced

Sony announce that a brand new streaming service, PlayStation Now, will be launching in the US this summer.

[dropcap]A[/dropcap] brand new streaming service for the PlayStation has been announced by Sony.

Yesterday, during the CES convention, Sony announced the launch of their new streaming service, PlayStation Now, which enables gamers to broadcast themselves playing their favourites games from the PS1, PS2 PS3, PS4 and eventually the PS Vita. The service is to launch in the US this summer.

According to the PlayStation Blog, Sony’s BRAVIA TV lineup will be able to support the PlayStation Now service.

The service allows gamers to broadcast games across multiple devices, stream full games to all of your compatible PlayStation devices such as the PS4, PS3, PS Vita, BRAVIA TV and other internet connected devices. Gamers will also be able to rent specific games by title and be offered a subscription to explore new titles.

At the end of January, PlayStation Now will begin its Beta program and will roll out in the US this summer.
