The adaptation of David Mitchell’s beautifully crafted novel Cloud Atlas is to arrive in cinemas later this year. Directed by the Wachowski brothers (the guys who brought us The Matrix trilogy), the story explores how the acts of people can affect the past, present and future. The film stars Tom Hanks, Halle Berry and Hugh Grant (amongst a long list of others) and promises to be a spectacularly immersive experience. Now a Cloud Atlas extended trailer has been leaked.

Offering over five minutes worth of footage, the film traverses time as it portrays the past and a spectacular vision of the future. For those who have read the read the book the trailer offers a glimpse of how the hugely ambitious book has been adapted – a task few thought was possible. One thing’s for sure – book sales will soar as a result.
