Peter Jackson will get star on Hollywood Walk of Fame

Peter Jackson, the Oscar-winning director of The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit, is to get his own star on the Hollywood walk of fame

It was announced this week that director Peter Jackson will be getting a star on the famous Hollywood Walk of Fame. His star will join those belonging to the likes of Walt Disney and Steven Spielberg on Hollywood Boulevard in Los Angeles.

Also on the Walk of Fame honours list this year were Daniel Radcliffe, Will Ferrell, Jennifer Garner, Paul Rudd, Melissa McCarthy, Julianna Margulies, and even Peanuts character Snoopy (very well deserved, we feel!).

Jackson is best known for directing both The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit, but he was also at the helm of Heavenly Creatures, King Kong, and The Lovely Bones. He won three Oscars in 2004 (Best Director, Best Picture, and Best Adapted Screenplay) for The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King.

Once he’s done with the third and final Hobbit film, he is in line to direct The Adventures of Tintin: Prisoners of the Sun.
