[dropcap]B[/dropcap]ollywood superstar Hrithik Roshan has proven that he is a true philanthropist by donating one of his jackets to raise money for a special children’s charity in Dubai. The 39 year old actor is one of the most eminent figures in Bollywood today and is known for starring in hugely popular films such as Kaho Na…PyaarHai (1999), Koi Mil Gaya (2003), Dhoom 2 (2006), Jodhaa Akbar (2008) and Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara (2011).
In fact Hrithik’s black leather jacket raked in the most cash, in contrast to the other Bollywood memorabilia that was up for sale at the prestigious auction. These included a red cocktail dress worn by Deepika Padukone; a Manish Malhotra Salwar Kameez worn by Kareena Kapoor; a blue shirt and trousers worn by Salman Khan, as well as a leather jacket worn by Ranbir Kapoor in the film Rockstar (2011).
The jacket (which was from Hrithik’s personal collection) managed to raise a whopping Dh 11,000 and will no doubt go towards a great cause.
Hrithik’s next major film is Krrish 3 and will be releasing in cinemas this Diwali 2013. He is currently shooting for the film Bang Bang, where he will be seen opposite Katrina Kaif.
