A lot happened this week in the world of film. Here’s a run down of the most important…
- In case you missed it, the Golden Globes award ceremony took place this week. The Artist and The Descendants won the most gongs whilst Ricky Gervais gave a rather lacklustre presentation performance (at least compared to last year’s). Read about the bash here.
- Hot off the tail of the Golden Globes, the BAFTA nominations were announced this week, too. Tinker, Tailor, Drive and The Artist all got severla nominations. Read a list of all the nominations here!
- George Lucas has retired from making blockbusters.
- The Expendables 2 will be a PG-13 thanks to Chuck Norris. The action star said he didn’t want to be involved in a film riddled with bad language.
- Don Cheadle and Idris Elba will be returning to the Marvel universe, Cheadle will reprise his role as James Rhodes in Iron Man 3 whilst Elba will be back on guard duty in Thor .
