The 2011 detective thriller LA Noire is to be released for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
Rockstar Games’ critically acclaimed 1940s neo-noir title will hit stores again on November 14th, 2017, with three new versions and will also be available in virtual reality on the HTC Vive.
The Nintendo Switch edition will feature the full game plus all additional downloadable content and specific enhancements including Joy-Con mode with gyroscopic, gesture-based controls, HD rumble and new wide and over-the-shoulder camera angles, plus contextual touch screen controls for portable detective work.
PlayStation 4 and Xbox One editions will also feature the full game and downloadable content, greater visual fidelity and authenticity, enhanced lighting, new cinematic camera angles, high resolution textures, and will play in 1080p on Xbox One and PlayStation 4, and 4K for PS4 Pro and Xbox One X.
Seven cases from the original game will be available on LA Noire: The VR Case Files for HTC Vive specifically rebuilt for virtual reality.
Released in 2011, LA Noire is set in 1947 Los Angeles and follows the story of decorated veteran and newly minted detective Cole Phelps as he investigates an escalating series of cases inspired by real-world crimes.
Critically acclaimed, the game was also notable for using Depth Analysis’ MotionScan technology, where actor’s of the game were recorded by 32 surround cameras to capture facial expressions from every angle.
