Josh Brolin will play Cable

Let the speculation end over who will be playing Cable (aka Nathan Summers) in the upcoming sequel to Deadpool (2016).

Lots, and I mean LOTS, of names have been thrown into the rumour mill since the first film was released but now it has been announced that Josh Brolin (MCU, Oldboy, Sicario) will be joining Ryan Reynolds in the highly-anticipated follow up to the sweary and violent mayhem which is Deadpool.

Whilst this may cause some confusion amongst the fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, especially as Brolin is playing the big, bad and purple Thanos in the Avengers films, I think it is a great casting call.

Brolin can be both intimidating and funny, and he is going to look pretty badass with the scars and shiny eye!

Ryan Reynolds responded to the casting by doing one of the things he does well, Twitter:

“The fuck, Fox! You can’t play 2 characters in the same universe!! Josh Brolin was in Sicario and I was in Sabrina The Teenage Witch.”

So now we just have to wait for a trailer….
