Everyone knew it was coming..everyone.
Ever since Man of Steel (2013) came out it was obvious the end game would be the Justice League film. Well..I say end game, not really, mid game if anything.
The build up hasn’t been as well thought out as the Avengers. We have had Man of Steel, Batman V Superman (2016), Suicide Squad (2016) and the upcoming Wonder Woman (June 2017). Not long after the Wonder Woman film comes Justice League (November 2017).
When the first trailer dropped I was excited, whilst some hated the dark tone of Batman V Superman, I rather enjoyed it. Granted, the film wasn’t perfect and neither was Suicide Squad, but in a world of Marvel-dominant superhero movies, TV shows and whatever else they can make, darker sometimes is better. Alas, the trailer for JL was a bit more on the jovial side, showcasing our first real glimpse of The Flash (Ezra Miller), Cyborg (Ray Fisher), Aquaman (Jason Mamoa), Batman (Battfleck) and Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot).
As of yet we haven’t seen sight nor sound of Steppenwolf in the trailer (being played by Game of Thrones’ Ciaran Hinds), and we haven’t seen much of the Parademons (both of which did feature briefly in BvS).
Fans who are looking forward to the imminent DCEU team up will be happy to know trailer number two will be with us this Saturday (March 25).
For now, here is the first one and the teaser for the second (because I am nice like that).
