Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture, Her Story, and Sunless Sea have all been nominated for Best Writing in a Video Game.
The Writers’ Guild of Great Britain (WGGB) yesterday announced the shortlist for its annual awards and amongst them in the traditional video game category.
Nominated are Dan Pinchbeck, for Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture – a thriller set in a small English town whose inhabitants have mysteriously disappeared – and Sam Barlow for Her Story – an interactive game which the player uses a database of police video clips to solve the case of a missing man.
Also nominated are Alexis Kennedy, Richard Cobbett, Amal El-Mohtar, Chris Gardiner, Meg Jayanth, and Emily Short for Sunless Sea – an adventure title where players take helm of their own steamship and set sail into the unknown.
The WGGB awards take place at RIBA, Central London, on Monday 18th January, 2016.
