The first piece of DLC for Rise of the Tomb Raider will be released starting in December with second and third DLC coming in 2016, Crystal Dynamics have revealed.
Available from December 29th, the first piece of DLC will be the new Endurance Mode which sees Lara “scrounge, scavenge, craft and survive the harsh elements by day, as well as lethal threats from enemies, both man and beast, by night”.
Players will also be able to challenge friends to their longest survival run with leaderboards for the title of Ultimate Survivor. It will also include a brand new outfit for Lara as well as a new weapon.
The next DLC, titled Baba Yaga: The Temple of the Witch, will be available early 2016.
An expansion of the Rise of the Tomb Raider‘s campaign, it will see Lara enter the wilds of Siberia, where a Soviet expedition once vanished. She enters the forest in search of a missing man but stumbles upon a nightmare which begins to haunt her.
Temple of the Witch will also feature deadly new adversaries, puzzle-filled tombs, a new outfit, and a new bow. A trailer for the DLC is shown above.
The final third DLC will launch also in 2016, and is the Cold Darkness Awakened package, with new outfits, weapons, expedition cards and extended campaigns.
All three DLC packs will be available for both Xbox One and Xbox 360 and as either Season Pass or standalone DLC.
