An “interim” update for Batman: Arkham Knight will address many of the issues players have been facing with the PC edition of the title, a Warner Bros. representative confirmed.
A Community Admin announced via the Warner Bros forums that the update will be released some time in August but didn’t specify an exact date.
The studio added that additional details of the patch will be released over the coming weeks.
“We would like to thank you for your continued patience and invaluable feedback,” said the representative. “We are continuing to monitor and listen for any additional issues and are driving towards a full update for everyone as quickly as we possibly can.”
The news comes days after an alleged email from Warner Bros leaked via Kotaku Austrailia and revealed that a fix for the issues that PC gamers have been experiencing wouldn’t be available until Spring.
The PC edition for the highly anticipated title launched back in June but reports quickly began sufarcing that people who have bought the title were experiencing significant issues preventing them from playing the game.
Amongst the issues are frame rates dropping at an incredible rate, sometimes into single digits, freezing, crashing and severe lagging.
Of the 14,516 reviews the game has received on it’s Steam page, just 42% are positive.
Warner Bros later made the call to pull the game from sale until all the issues have been addressed.
Elsewhere, Batman: Arkham Knight has received critical acclaim from critics worldwide.
It is currently available for Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
