Remedy is looking “for opportunities” to do a sequel to Alan Wake, its creative director has revealed.
Speaking to Xbox Achievements, Remedy Entertainment Creative Director Sam Lake, who also served as the game’s lead writer, said that the studio was working on a sequel but was postponed earlier this year.
However, he said that they would return to the title “when the time is right”.
“We’re really, really proud of all the games we have made,” said Lake. “And obviously all of them are dear to us. They have a special place in our hearts.
“You never know about the future and as we have said about Alan Wake, the sequel didn’t work out at this point. But definitely we are looking for opportunities to do more, someday, when the time is right.”
Alan Wake launched in 2010 exclusively for Xbox 360 and earned critical acclaim worldwide.
Remedy’s next title, Quantum Break, will be out on Xbox One in 2015.
