Assassin’s Creed Unity has been delayed by two weeks, Ubisoft announced yesterday.
Originally scheduled for release on October 28th, the action-adventure title has now been pushed back to November 11th in the US and November 13th in Europe.
Ubisoft said that the delay will “ensure that the quality of the game meets fans’ – and the team’s – lofty expectations”.
“As we got close to the finish, we realized we were near the target but still needed a bit more time to hone some of the details to make sure Assassin’s Creed Unity is exceptional,” said Vincent Pontbriand, Senior Producer at Ubisoft.
“We sincerely appreciate players’ commitment to the game and their patience. It’s just a couple more weeks. And it’s going to be worth it.”
Set in Paris in 1789 during the French Revolution, you play as a young man named Arno, who embarks on a journey to expose the true power behind the revolution.
Ubisoft also announced that Assassin’s Creed Rogue would also now launch on November 13th whilst the US release on November 11th will remain.
Set in the middle of the 18th century during the Seven Years War, players follow Shay Patrick Cormac who suffers the brotherhood’s betrayal and must transform into an Assassin Hunter.
Unity will be available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. Rogue will be available for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
