Zack Snyder’s follow-up to Man of Steel has spent many a month being referred to as Man of Steel 2, or simply as Batman vs Superman (what with the fact that Kal-El (Henry Cavill) and the Caped Crusader (Ben Affleck) will be facing off on the big screen).Well, now we can finally start dropping its official title Man of Steel 2: Electric Boogaloo.
Alright, we’ve had our fun. It’s actually Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, a far more appropriate moniker, if a little long-winded. We’d have thought there would have been a reference to steel in there somewhere, just to tie it to the first film a little more. However, we do like the comic book bluntness of Batman v Superman, and perhaps Dawn of Justice is a reference to a possible future Justice League movie? Who knows, or dares to dream.
We’ve also been graced with a new logo for the film, which includes the new title and also the merged Batman and Superman logos. Shooting for the film has begun, and we should see it on our screens in 2016.
What do you think of the film’s new title and logo?
