It was announced this week that everyone’s favourite cross-dressing nanny Mrs Doubtfire is to return for a sequel, 21 years after the original.
Director Chris Columbus and star Robin Williams have both been strongly rumoured for the follow up, alongside Elf writer David Berenbaum.
‘Mrs Doubtfire’ hit the screens in 1993, and was the second highest grossing film of the year, behind Jurassic Park. The family favourite featured Williams as a divorcee who transforms himself into Scottish housekeeper Euphegenia Doubtfire in order to see his children. The film also starred Sally Field and Pierce Brosnan.
Plot details for the sequel have yet to be revealed
