These rumours were furthered when the official website for the game no longer advertises the Xbox One version. On the bottom right corner of the homepage an advertisement showing the box arts for PS4, PS3, Xbox 360, Nintendo 3DS and Wii U are all clearly seen but no Xbox One box art is shown.
Activision provided a short statement to MCV: “We want to inform you that we are revising our release plans for [The Amazing Spider-Man 2] on Xbox One. When and whether [The Amazing Spider-Man 2] is released on Xbox One is [to be determined].”
We’ve reached out to Activision for more information – so far, no word back.
