A new trailer for Captain America: The Winter Soldier was shown during the 2014 American Super Bowl recently. The trailer has now also been released online and it features plenty of action.
The trailer doesn’t explain much of the plot but it does show Captain America aka Steve Rogers (Chris Evans), Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) and Falcon (Anthony Mackie) taking on a new foe called The Winter Soldier. His identity is a mystery as he wears a mask and it is not clear who he is working for either. The Winter Soldier is the main villain in the movie and he appears to have super strength and agility just like Captain America.
Steve Rogers and his allies must find out what this new enemy is after and stop him from achieving his goals. Rogers also has to deal with the top brass at S.H.I.E.L.D including Samuel L. Jackson who returns as Nick Fury from the Avengers and Alexander Pierce (Robert Redford.) The Winter Soldier seems to be involved in some kind of conspiracy and has hired hit men to wipe out any S.H.I.E.L.D operatives. This will make things rather more difficult for Captain America and his friends.
This new trailer delivers exactly what viewers want as it has a lot of action and spectacle. It gives the main characters plenty of screen time and lets viewers get a good look at new characters like Falcon. Winter Soldier is the star of the trailer though as he is shown to be a serious threat. It’s a nicely edited trailer with good music used throughout too. This sequel looks like a much darker movie than its predecessor as the stakes seem higher here and the trailer explains that rather well. It also appears to be a movie that uses a lot of good stunt work and choreography in favor of CGI.
Eager fans can watch the film when it is released on March 26th in the UK and April 4th in the US. Check out the trailer and share your thoughts.
