It’s safe to say that we here at Roobla love all things film… so when the whopping 31 disc Harry Potter Wizard’s Collection arrived at the Farm our eyes bulged. After struggling to carry it any further than about ten feet (trust us, you get your money’s worth in weight alone), we unleashed the collection from its cardboard box and this is what we found…
One very impressive looking chest with lots of drawers and secret compartments
Giving the collection its pleasing aesthetic feel, the chest itself (measuring in at 12-3/4” x 10-9/16” x 11-1/4” and weighing 19 lbs) is an impressive beast. Neatly housing the collection of DVDs and Blu-rays in separate books according to Harry’s school years, the box also features a drop down board on which you could take pictures of the goodies housed in the chest itself… if you’re that way inclined.
31 Discs of Harry Potter goodness
Yes, you read that right. The chest includes THIRTY ONE Harry Potter discs, including each movie in Blu-ray, DVD and Ultraviolet formats. Also included is an eight part documentary that focuses on themes such as the making of the creatures in Harry Potter’s magical world and the difficulties faced in adapting J.K. Rowling’s sprawling tale.
A Horcrux
Hiddnen in one secret compartment is a replica of the locket that causes so much trouble in the penultimate film. We’re not sure if it comes with a genuine slice of Voldemort’s soul… we weren’t brave enough to check.
A certificate of authenticity
Although it is not an integral part of any of the Potter novels or movies, what this ceritificate does provide you with is proof that you’re a bonafide Potter fan and that your box is a genuine product… and one of only 63,000 made.
Fabric map of Hogwarts
Who wouldn’t want a huge fabric map of Hogwarts and the surrounding area? It’s probably the second best thing to owning the Marauder’s Map itself.
Catalogue of Artefacts and Label Collection
Ensuring that the Harry Potter prop department’s efforts weren’t wasted, these collections of the bits you may not have noticed in the films are testament to the love and devotion of the HP crew to their work.
Sketches, concept artwork and more
There’s so much to take in in this collection that our short list doesn’t do it justice. Featuring sketches of some of the most important scenes in the series the collection is Warner Bros’ biggest yet.
Still don’t believe just how good this collection really is? Why not let Warwick Davis and co try and convince you in the video below!
