tv News

It’s just weeks since news broke that David Lynch had quit as director of Twin Peaks.

The series was due to return after more than 20 years away from our screens, but Lynch, who directed the original, supposedly fell out with Showtime bosses in a dispute over funding.

Fortunately, there’s been a change. Lynch revealed on Twitter that he’ll be returning to the Twin Peaks comeback. Differences have been settled, and fans of the show can breathe a sigh of relief.

I’m looking forward to this and I’m happy that Lynch is back on board. Twin Peaks wouldn’t be the same without him.

Showtime also released a statement confirming the news, as well as announcing that the series will run for longer than the planned nine episodes. Great news.

So all we have to do now is sit back and wait for the premiere. Pre-production has started already and the series is expected to hit our screens in 2016.
