tech Review

Don’t you just hate it when your smartphone/tablet/video game system runs out of battery at the worst time? Maybe you were about to post that epic¬†selfie on Instagram, or about to attack on Clash of Clans, or about to catch Mewtwo for the first time on your 3DS…it’s important to keep your devices powered. Well, luckily for you, there’s a Nomad for that.

This particular device by Nomad is the Roadtrip. The Roadtrip comes in the form of a charger that looks more like a car outlet which allows you to plug this into your cigarette lighter and can act as a charger that way. The beauty of this device is the fact that once you disconnect it from your car, it also works as a portable charger. Yes, it’s a car charger that turns into a portable charger when needed. Neat, huh?¬†Now as most of you may know by now, I love things that are “simple and effective” and this device by Nomad definitely accomplishes that. The fact that I can leave this in my car as my car charger and be able to take it with me on the go fits that motto of being simple and effective.

When taken off the car, the Roadtrip has 3,000mAh power bank. For those that don’t use specs (like me), it basically means you would be able to charge your iPhone’s and MOST Android devices at least once before needing to recharge the Roadtrip itself. The other advantage of the Roadtrip compared to other chargers is that the Roadtrip has both the standard USB plug-in as well as the USB-C plug. This works perfectly for me as I use both an iPhone and a Nexus 6P. The Roadtrip also has a battery level indicator and an on-off button that shows how much juice you have left before needing to recharge this.

If you’re on the go and are looking for a simple and effective way to charge your devices in the car, as well as when you’re out and about, the Nomad Roadtrip is a solution for you to keep your devices alive.
