[dropcap]U[/dropcap]niversal are keen to get the ball rolling with the fourth Jurassic Park film, Jurassic World. They are apparently in talks with Bryce Dallas Howard to star in the sequel. If the actress is cast she will get a major role in the movie due out next year. The studio have been interested in her for sometime according to Variety, and they are keen to cast the last major role so they can begin production.
Howard is a solid actress and would be an inspired choice for a role in Jurassic World; she has appeared in a broad range of films and is versatile. Unfortunately Sam Neill’s character is not expected to return in the film, and it is also unclear if any of the other actors from the previous films will return. Jeff Goldblum’s character in particular was entertaining and it would be good to see him reprise his role.
No other details about the cast or plot have been released yet; there is a rumour however that Jurassic World will feature a new dinosaur park on Isla Nublar (the island in the first movie.) There are also rumours stating that the film will have aquatic dinosaurs which can swim underwater.
Jurassic World will be directed by Colin Trevorrow who also co-wrote the script with Derek Connolly. Hopefully they can produce a good script and avoid rehashing the old films too much. The film is due out on June 12th.
