Three remasters of one of the most iconic PlayStation series are coming in 2017, Sony announced during their E3 briefing.
Sony revealed that a remaster of the original PS1 Crash Bandicoot, Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back, and Crash Bandicoot 3: Warped will be released for the PlayStation 4.
The remasters will be in conjunction with Activision, who own the rights to the series, and Vicarious Visions, developers.
Sony also revealed the Crash Bandicoot character will also appear in Skylands Imaginators, out in October.
The move comes almost two years after Andrew House, CEO of Sony, said the door wasn’t closed on a revival of the Crash Bandicoot series.
A previous poll conducted by the Official PlayStation Magazine revealed that fans voted Crash Bandicoot as the number one PlayStation icon.
