Sales of the horror-thriller Alan Wake has passed 4.5 million units.
Remedy Entertainment CEO Matias Myllyrinne revealed on his Twitter account that the 2010 title has sold over 4.5 million units since it’s launch on Xbox 360 five years ago.
Critically acclaimed worldwide, it tells the story of Alan Wake, a best-selling author whose wife disappears during a vacation in the small town of Bright Falls, Washington.
A sequel has long bee rumoured to be in production but nothing has been confirmed as of yet.
Lead Writer on Alan Wake, Sam Lake, did reveal back in September 2014 that the studio was looking for opportunities to do a sequel but ultimately it would only happen “when the time is right”.
Remedy’s next title, Quantum Break, is scheduled for release later this year on Xbox One.
