A loyal customer to a video-game retailer will be given free titles for the next 10 years.

GAME, the UK video-game retailer, announced today that Karen Wolstencroft and her family will receive free video-games from them for the next 10 years as a thank you for her loyalty to buying titles from their stores.

Karen, a mum of 4, will also have her GAME account retired – much like legendary footballers have their shirt number retired for their service to a club – and receive £100 worth of Virtual Loyalty Shares.

“… Gaming is a big part of our family downtime together,” she said. “Between work, school and sport we all have busy lives and gaming is our favorite way to relax.

“I’ve lost count of the number of titles that we’ve purchased over the years but when GAME got in touch and told me that we are their most loyal and passionate customers, I was delighted. It was completely unexpected and we can’t wait to receive the latest upcoming titles on the house.”

Karen’s favourite game is Tomb Raider but says she and her family play everything from FIFA to Just Dance.

“That’s the great thing about gaming, it really brings us all together and you can escape into a game just like you can a book,” she said.

To celebrate their success with a floatation on the stock market, GAME say that Karen won’t be the only one to benefit as the company intends to issue Virtual Loyalty Shares with a value of £2 million to 20,000 of it’s most loyal customers – funded by GAME’s major shareholders.

“We are celebrating our success and this is a unique way to thank Karen and her family, our most loyal customers – plus the 19,999 others who share our passion for gaming,” said Ailsa McKnight, Marketing Director at GAME.
