Final Fantasy III is to be released on Steam, Square Enix have announced.
The company announced Friday that the 1990 original RPG game is scheduled to be released on PC via Steam in the coming future.
No official release date was confirmed.
Final Fantasy III revolves around 4 orphaned youths drawn to a crystal of light which grants them power to restore the balance of the world.
The title, the third in the series, was the first to become a million-seller and a 3D remake was released in 2007 for Nintendo DS, which also went on to sell over 1 million copies.
Optimised for PC, it will also feature new and improved 3D visuals and story sequences, and will include Steam Trading Cards and Achievements and new visual designs for Job Mystery Cards.
