The success of the DayZ standalone continues to grow, with the title recently selling over 2 million copies.
It was announced last night by its creator, Dean Hall, that the game has sold over 2 million copies just six months following its launch.
He wrote on Twitter: “Just over 2 years ago the DayZ mod released. Today, the Standalone game just broke 2 million units in under 6 months.”
DayZ, which originally launched as a MOD for ARMA 2 but was released as a standalone in December due to popular demand, has become one of the most popular PC games since its launch.
It currently holds more than 1.5 million players.
In January, it was revealed the the game had sold over 1 million copies just four weeks since launch.
It was also the most talked about game, overcoming the launches of PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, Call of Duty: Ghosts and Fifa 14.
Back in February, Hall announced that he was leaving Bohemia Interactive, the studio behind the game.
