Players who make their own custom made fighters in EA Sports UFC won’t be able to share them with one another, an EA executive has revealed.

Whilst the game will still feature the traditional “Create a fighter” mode, players can’t share them with each other due to copyright issues and a number of other issues.

Talking to MMA JunkieEA Sports UFC creative director, Brian Hayes, said: “That’s something we loved as well, but we can’t do it anymore for a number of reasons.

“One of the big things people did on a game like Fight Night is making Rocky Balboa, or Floyd Mayweather or whatever. But nowadays when people can make YouTube clips and share them, there’s this whole grey area where if our game allows users to make a Rocky character that’s the intellectual property of somebody else, it causes a ton of problems.

“There is a “Create-A-Fighter” and you could create you own Rocky, but when we are facilitating the sharing of content, it gets very difficult.”

A gameplay video, titled “Feel the Fight” was released a couple of weeks ago, detailing about how fighter’s body reacts to limits and act/react with added realism.

Developed by EA Canada, and published by EA Sports, UFC: Ultimate Fighting Championship will be releasing for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in the Spring.
