The Last of Us will be coming to the PlayStation 4 this summer, according to an executive for PlayStation.

PlayStation’s Eurasian Software Market Manager, Sercan Sulun, was recently interviewed for Turkish CNN and revealed that the critically acclaimed survival-thriller would be on the PS4 “as of this summer” along with the game’s DLC including Left Behind.

Translated by IGN, he said: “There is no information about a new The Last of Us game but I can share this knowledge; as of this summer, The Last of Us will be on the PS4. Both on PSN and physically.”

“The PS4 version will also include the DLC so you will be able to play Left Behind as well.”

The Last of Us launched in May 2013 to worldwide critical acclaim for its emotional story and immersive environments, recently selling over 6 million copies. It has gone on to win 8 Game of the Year awards and is nominated for a further two.

Talk of a sequel have been surfacing over the last few months with Neil Druckmann revealing talks about a sequel have already begun and would have a 50/50 chance of happening.

A film adaptation is currently in development.
