The first details regarding the recently announced Batman: Arkham Knight have been revealed.
According to Game Informer, who are revealing brand new details of the game every other day, the game will not be written by acclaimed writer Paul Dini.
Instead, Sefton Hill, also the game director, will lead the writing team along with senior script writer Martin Lancaster, who’s previous credits included Crysis and Killzone.
Rocksteady Studios, the developers of the game, will also be consulting with DC chief creative officer Geoff Johns.
The article on Game Informer also features interviews with both Lancaster and Hill regarding the story of the game.
Taking place a year after the events of Arkham City, you play as Batman as he faces the ultimate threat against the city he is sworn to protect. The Scarecrow returns to unite an impressive roster of super villains, including Penguin, Two-Face and Harley Quinn, to destroy The Dark Knight forever.
The magazine also revealed that the Batmobile will be a core element in the game with an entirely new area of Gotham City to explore.
An official trailer was released by Warner Bros. yesterday.
