Thief has officially gone gold, Eidos have announced.
Eidos-Montreal, the developers of the game, announced today that Thief has gone gold, meaning it is now fully ready for release.
Producer, Stephane Roy, said: “It’s a wrap, Thief is gold. It’s nearly time for the fans to fall in love with Thief all over again, and time for newcomers to finally see what all the fuss is about.
“Thief is one of the founding-fathers of the stealth genre; we’re proud to have worked on such a well-loved series and proud to say; Garrett, the Master Thief is back.”
Along with the news, a brand new trailer, shown above, was also released and details the game’s story, its characters, gameplay and feature set.
Releasing on February 28th, Thief follows Garrett as he returns to his hometown, “The City”, after a long time away only to find the town is ruled by a tyrant called “The Baron”. As the city is infested by a plague, Garrett must use his stealth and steal from the rich whilst using the plague to his advantage.
Thief will be available for Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS3, PS4 and PC.
