[dropcap]G[/dropcap]rand Theft Auto V was the biggest entertainment launch in history, smashing numerous records and earning critical acclaim worldwide but, according to a recent survey, the game isn’t popular with parents – surprise, surprise.

A survey conducted by Babies.co.uk – read that again, Babies.co.uk – found that Rockstar Game’s worldwide phenomenon is the most least wanted christmas gift that parents would like their kids to have due to its “real world style” compared to the fantasy worlds and settings of other games.

Managing Director, James Macfarlane, said: “It became apparent that our users were very scared of the level of realism found in a game like Grand Theft Auto V.”

“While it is hard to see a child relating with a zombie first person shooter, as is the case in some of the other games in the poll, parents are clearly concerned that a game which rewards murder, arson, torture and theft in the way that GTA V does, might make the same actions in real life more acceptable.”

In GTA, you can kill people with guns. In Call of Duty: Ghosts, you can kill people with a gun. In Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, you can stab people. In Killzone: Shadow Fall, you can kill people with a gun and in Dead Rising 3 – you guessed it – you kill people with a gun.

Remember: Grand Theft Auto V is an 18 rated game, meaning it shouldn’t be played by anyone under 18 years old anyway. Babies included.

Whilst GTA V was number one with 31.98% of the vote, Killzone: Shadow Fall was second with 20.46%, Dead Rising 3 had 18.91%, Call of Duty: Ghosts gained 16.97% and Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag was the lowest with 11.74%.
